Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) has been recognized as a popular material for the fabrication of MF/UF membranes due to its high mechanical strength and chemical resistance. Asahi Kasei is a pioneer of PVDF Hollow Fiber Membranes, and we have successfully put PVDF membrane into practical use in many applications and accumulated experiences for more than 4 years.

Asahi is the pioneer to develop PVDF hollow fibers. Due to high success rate in USA market, it became the market leader in PVDF hollow fibers. Asahi hollow fibers membranes are made of high crystalline PVDF material.

High Crystalline PVDF

PVDF became so popular that most of the PES, PE membrane makers had switched toproducePVDF membrane as well. Not all PVDF membranes makers made homogenous structure except Asahi.

Therefore, it is suitable for wide application such as:

  1. Drinking water from river, reservoir or well
  2. Pretreatment of RO in Sea water desalination
  3. Waste water Reuse (Newater in Singapore)
  4. Pretreatment of RO in Semiconductor UPW system
